Joanne completed her Masters Degree in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology at UCL, and her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at the National University of Singapore in 2011. She is listed with the Singapore Register of Psychologists and has extensive experience working in the National University Hospital Singapore treating patients with psychiatric conditions and neurocognitive disorders. Her current work with the National University of Singapore involves training provisional psychologists and running university-wide programs in Emotional Intelligence and Future-ready skills.
For the past 6 years, Joanne has spoken in many conferences, forums and talks, addressing mental health issues as well as on managing one’s well-being. She has presented talks at the National University Cancer Institute, and the National University of Singapore, on various types of mental wellness. Joanne has also shared on many topics relating to with mental wellness, most notably, Coping with Life’s Changes and Challenges, Managing Stress at the Workplace, and Everyday Mindfulness. She has experience conducting a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) 8 week experiential course at National University of Singapore. As a psychologist, Joanne believes that lasting solutions not only treat symptoms but enhance and optimize overall wellbeing. With that strong believe, Joanne strives to bring forth knowledge as best as she can to her course participants.
